Leonard DeBotton - CIO & Musician

CIO by day, musician by night

Lenahawkin (Leonard DeBotton) works by day as a full-time IT professional serving as CIO & SVP at Berkeley College. Len picked up his first guitar in his early 50s with the goal of learning to play, performing live, and eventually writing and publishing original songs—goals he has since accomplished. His most recent goal is creating a full album. Currently located in South Jersey, he performs primarily throughout the South Jersey area. Along with his original work he mostly performs his chill versions of classic rock and folk songs from the 60/70. Len chose his stage name from the shore town where he began playing music, Manahawkin. He has released two EPs and one single on all major streaming services under the name Lenahawkin.

Reviews

“His latest goal achieved was putting out two EPs, Sounds from the Heart and Reflection, both recorded and produced at Rival Sounds. The mellow, acoustic tunes don’t attempt to over-complicate what’s meant to be simple. Taking a page from Bob Dylan and Neil Young, these bare-bones rock songs communicate introspection and sentimentality without relying on major production.”— Monique M. Demopoulos, Sandpaper, August 2023
